Treat for fans as top four clash

4/07/2008 10:15:00 AM
Rugby fans are in for a treat tomorrow with the top four teams involved in round 13 Blowes Menswear Cup matches, games that will be played at Narromine and Dubbo.

Despite being beaten 10-9 by Forbes last weekend - their first loss in more than two years - the Dubbo Kangaroos are still leading the first grade competition and tomorrow with their strongest team available, head to Cale Oval for a showdown with the Narromine Gorillas.

For the home side, Jeremy Brown is fresh from a 20-13 defeat of Rhinos last week and in front of their home crowd will be looking to achieve further honours.

At Dubbo’s Apex Oval, it may be ladies day in the grandstand but there will be a fierce battle in the forwards on the field when the Rhinos take on the mighty Bathurst Bulldogs.

While there are still five home-and-away games to be played before the semi-finals, all results are important, although the top three positions appear to be tied up between the Roos (53), Bulldogs (48) and Narromine (43).

Then comes the dogfight for the remaining two places.

The Rhinos (36) are currently in fourth place, followed by Forbes (32), CSU Bathurst (28), Orange City (25) and Emus (23). Cowra (12) and Parkes (1) are next.

The other games tomorrow feature Forbes and Cowra; CSU and Emus and City and Parkes.
