Westside, Wanderers to contest both finals

Westside Panthers and South Dubbo Wanderers will contest both the men’s and women’s Dubbo All-Age soccer grand finals at Lady Cutler No.2 this Sunday.

After qualifying fourth in the preliminary rounds, Wanderers knocked out Narromine 3-0 in the minor semi-final and then upset defending champions RSL 78s 4-0 in wet and woolly conditions on Sunday to book their spot in the men’s grand final.

Westside finished minor premiers and defeated RSL 2-0 to earn a week off before this weekend but have not beaten the big improvers of the competition, having recorded a 2-1 loss in the first round and then a 1-all draw the next time the two sides met.

In the women’s Westside and Wanderers have dominated this year’s competition and between the two clubs have won the previous four All-Age titles.
